North Star follows a very precise process to evaluate land for solar, wind, gas and geothermal. Once a location is validated, North Star works with the landowner on either a lease or sale of the land. Next, North Star conducts title searches, environmental studies, ALTA surveys, and generation systems engineering. Once this is completed, North Star either works with the local utilities for direct power supply to community customers or with the utility for transmission interconnection to put power onto the grid. In parallel, North Star works at the county level for local permitting and approvals and at the state level for permitting and approvals. Finally, the projects are turned over to the EPC contractors for construction.
